A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.
Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.
It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.
Memorial Day Service
Remembrance is an important part of what we do at Forest Lawn, so we encourage you to make it part of your Memorial Day weekend by joining us on May 25, 2013 in our cemetery to remember those who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
The entire Greenwood community is invited to attend the program, which will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, with a welcome by Forest Lawn Funeral Home Manager Bob Morgan. Donations will be accepted at the front gate for local VFW and American Legion Posts.
The event features guest speaker Paul Baker, Grand Directeur of POW/MIA of Indiana, and will also include an invocation and memorial prayer by the Rev. Danny Thomas, flag folding by Greenfield American Legion Honor Guard, music and placement of the Memorial Wreath by Robert Tuttle, poem reading by Forest Lawn Family Service Manager Jeanne Brunette, and rifle volleys and Taps by Greenwood American Legion Post 252 and the Greenwood/Whiteland VFW Post 5864.
