He retired from Raytheon in 2008, and spent his retirement happily fishing and relaxing with a cold Bud Light, almost always in the company of his grandkids, who thought the world of their Papaw.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamara Hall Sanders.

He is survived by his children- son, Johnny Hall III, daughter, Jennifer Hall, daughter, Barbara “B.J.” Arthur, son-in-law, Greg Arthur, grandchildren, Chad Sanders (fiancé Alyssa), Anthony Sanders, Kaden and Brooke Batiste, Logan, Zack, and Justin Brock, Brittany and Jaylen Arthur, and great-grandchildren, Camden, Kynlee, Easton, and Maverick. He is also survived by step-sisters, Susan Scott-Guarneri and Anita Pidun (husband Uwe).
